Ski & Snowboard Winter League

A new & fun way to enjoy your skiing this winter.

A series of 3 races

Gain Experience and skill in Slalom Ski Racing. 

Every racer gets 2 timed runs and 3 Dual Slalom runs per race.

All age groups invited.

Novice & Experienced Skiers Invited (You should be able to parallel turn).

Teams are made up of 5 racers.

Swansea Nomads Ski Club first Winter Ski & Snowboard Winter League has come and gone.  We have our worthy champions – Swansea University Snowriders 1, with individual overall honours going to Taylor Waters (Swansea Nomads) and Alicja Stephens (Snowriders 1).

Feedback from all the rounds has been positive, which is encouraging after hurriedly arranging the League, with no previous experience.  It was great to see teams travel from one hundred and twenty miles to the east and forty-five miles to the west, to help make the event a success.  This year 89 individuals took part in 15 teams.  Next year we hope that we can encourage an even greater number to participate, with more time to plan the schedule around our busy lives.  People from all the clubs that participated helped throughout the series.  This is going to be your Winter League, so whether you're a skier, boarder or chauffeur please let us know your ideas for improving the event.  A lot of hard work goes into organising an event, with all the action and preparation being squeezed into about four hours.  Without the team of people setting up the timing, the courses, the commentary, raffle, bibs, gate judging, etc., we couldn't have a race.  So thank you all very much and thank you to the racers for the entertainment.
